Welcome here! Is food working for you?
A lot goes on when food gets past your lips, even though most people only think about the stages before that – EVEN if what they eat affects how they feel. I believe that when you know what food does after you eat it, you’re more likely to make better choices – my goal is to give you the info and the inspiration to make your food work for you. Eating for performance isn’t just for athletes, it’s for everyone! I’m dedicating my career as a dietitian to inspiring people to eat and live better by helping them understand what to do and why it’s important.
What you’ll find on my site:
WhyFoodWorks Blog (WFW) offers health info or a lifestyle type, and a recipe. Nutrition is a science, and I want to share the best information we have available today! Know better, eat better! WFW Skin Edition is a fun project I’m launching to see what foods can be used as skin care items as well – a recipe for your face or body, and a recipe to eat made from what you don’t put on your skin (reducing waste and increasing value!). This is more about fun and experimenting in the kitchen than science, but I’ll try to explain how each recipe is beneficial. Join me and give feedback! WFW Dinner Parties is where the food meets the table – what better way to learn than from an expert throwing a party in your house for you and your friends? Don’t forget: for every 10 dinner parties, WFW donates a party to charity or provides one for a group who can’t afford it!
Glad you stopped by. Enjoy.
